Is the handwriting real?

Yes, in every physical sense. Your message is written with a real pen and real ink by precision writing machines in a natural handwriting style. It is not a printed font and not a photo of handwriting. We say this plainly because we would rather earn your trust than imply a person sat at a desk with your card.

How fast does it arrive?

Cards are usually written and mailed within one business day. US delivery typically takes 2 to 5 business days after that. International takes longer and varies by country.

Is there tracking?

No. Cards travel as real first class letters with real stamps, which is part of the magic. If a card has not arrived after 10 business days in the US, contact us and we will reprint and remail it once, free.

How is the recipient's address captured?

You enter it at checkout as the shipping address. We use it for exactly one purpose: mailing your card. It is never sold, shared for marketing, or added to a list.

Can I send a card anonymously?

Yes. Check "Send anonymously" when writing your message and we sign it "A friend who cares."

What are Ready to Send cards?

Cards that come with a thoughtful message already written for moments when the words are hard to find, like sympathy. The message appears in the writing box and you can keep it as is, edit a line, or rewrite it completely.

How long can my message be?

Up to 500 characters, about 75 to 90 words. Enough for something real, short enough to fit beautifully inside the card.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Contact us immediately at support@thewrittenhug.com. Cards enter production quickly, often within hours, so we cannot guarantee changes, but we will always try.

What if my card arrives damaged or misprinted?

We reprint and remail it free, or refund you. Send us a photo within 14 days of expected delivery.

Do you mail internationally?

Yes, to most countries, with shipping included in the price. Allow extra delivery time.
